Privacy Policy

What We Collect

Almost nothing. TextTruth is designed so that we never have your sensitive data in the first place.

Conversation Text

When you paste a conversation and click “Analyze,” the text is sent to our backend server, which forwards it to the Anthropic Claude API for analysis. The text is never stored, logged, cached, or written to any database. It exists in memory only for the duration of the API call, then it is discarded.

Anthropic (our AI provider) has a zero-data-retention policy for API usage, your conversation text is not used to train their models.

PDF Reports

PDF reports are generated entirely in your browser using client-side technology. The conversation text never leaves your device for this purpose.

Payment Information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card number. We record only: a payment confirmation ID, an analysis ID, and a timestamp, for chargeback defense purposes.

Email Addresses

If you voluntarily provide your email address (e.g., for a summary or notifications), we store it along with the context in which you provided it. You can request deletion at any time by emailing us.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not use cookies, does not track users across sites, and collects only anonymous, aggregated page-view data. No personal data is collected through analytics.

Your Rights (CCPA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of data sales. Since we collect almost no personal information and sell none of it, these rights are largely moot, but we honor them fully upon request.
